Blues based Americana with a lot of material that is 50-100 years old.

Howling Waters is a blues-based trio consisting of Michael Kirick (AKA Harpo) on harmonica, washboard, and vocals; Christopher Francklyn, guitars and keyboards; and Jim Street, bass. The band was formed in early 2020, just before Covid hit, as an offshoot from all of us playing together and apart at the various blues jams we had been attending around the Burlington blues jam scene. The name is derived from blues legends Howling Wolf and Muddy Waters, whose music we liberally play and interpret.
