Thank you for inquiring about booking stage time here at Bent Nails Bistro… Before proceeding, please read thoroughly. If terms are agreeable, then reply back stating so and we can try to find a date that works.

* PLEASE MAKE SURE THERE IS A 3, PREFERABLY, 4 WEEK GAP BETWEEN SHOWS IN MONTPELIER BEFORE BOOKING WITH US… THANK YOU.

The two most asked questions….

1. Do you have a P.A. system?
2. What do you offer for a guarantee/compensation?

1. We have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours on a brand new, high end P.A. system, while also making the whole interior space sonically balanced. You won’t need mics, stands, etc… We have a full backline, including keys, bass/guitar amps and full drum kit (drummer may use own cymbals, pedal and snare.) Guitar amps will be side filled and mic’d. We keep stage volume low to get the best sound out front. We have 4 separate monitor mixes… 3 up front and 1 for the drummer. We hear on a regular basis from bands, “This is the best sound we’ve ever had on stage” and from audience members, “The sound is amazing in here!” There will also be a stage manager and sound tech mixing your set.

2. We offer no monetary guarantees since we have yet to find a band, or performer willing to give us one based on how many patrons they will be bringing to our venue. We are all about creating and supporting symbiotic relationships, not parasitic ones. So instead, we give you the performer the opportunity to be compensated by allowing proven, established acts to charge a realistic cover charge and keep 100%. We also take no cut of merch sales. If you are a band or performer who has yet to build a following of adoring fans, willing to pay to see and hear you perform on our stage, we offer patron gratuity and at least 10% of bar sales during your set(s). Each performer will also get 2 complimentary drink tix and food discounts. We are very happy to help foster building bands/performers a following, we are just not willing to take a loss to do so. YOUR COMPENSATION SHOULD BE COMMENSURATE TO YOUR DRAW.

Please note, we here at Bent Nails Bistro are lifelong musicians with decades of touring and recording experience… We know how it feels to play to thousands of fans singing our lyrics, and also to the bartender as the only person in attendance. We have perspective from both the musician and the venue owner… We are not greedy and feel this is the best way to keep our doors open and lights on, allowing musicians to look and sound the best they can, at least locally.
